The government of the Russian Federation annually provides scholarships for international students in various fields of study and education levels. So these scholarships are available for Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral levels which will previously be preceded by one year of preparation for the Russian language. This scholarship is quite similar to Turkey Government Scholarships that also provides language preparation.

Based on the QS World University Rankings, there are 32 Russian higher education institutions that are among the top 1000 in the world. The following will only mention the world's top 500 rankings:

Scholarship Coverage

This scholarship is partial, not a full scholarship. The scholarships provided by the Russian government only cover the cost of Russian language preparation and Bachelor, Masters or PhD education. There are other costs that must be borne by the students themselves, such as:
- File translation into Russian,
- Visa processing fees,
- Air tickets to Russia,
- Cost of meals in Russia,
- Transportation costs,
- Return tickets from Russia, etc.

First Stage Selection Documents

1. Photo
2. Passport: The passport should be valid for at least 18 months from the date of your arrival in Russia.
3. Educational degree: You must upload a document indicating your highest level of education. If you have not yet received your academic certificate, please upload your report card, progress report, or academic transcript. You will be required to upload a notarized translation of this document if you are selected to study in the Russian Federation.
4. Essay in Russian and/or English: This document is required when applying for a postgraduate (adjunct) program. The topic of your essay must relate to the program you have chosen for your application.
5. Application Form obtained at the end of the registration. Print, sign, scan, then re-upload.

The deadline for registration with at least upload of the first stage selection documents is March 14, 2021.


Those who pass to the next stage will receive information via the Education in Russia website and/or be contacted by the Russian scholarship selection committee via email.
